Our curriculum prepares you for certification through nationally recognized organizations, including the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and more. EX 230 Exercise Physiology

The purpose of this course is to increase the student’s knowledge of human physiology and the adaptations that occur during exercise. The focus of this course is on how the body responds to acute and chronic exercise.

EX 375 Concepts of Strength Training and Conditioning

The purpose of the course is to understand how to develop and implement strength training and conditioning programs for physically active individuals.

EX 350 Sports Injuries and Illnesses

An introduction to the different types of injuries and a basic overview of how to prevent, identify and care for a variety of injuries and illnesses that regularly occur to the physically active.

EX 310 Nutrition for Health and Performance

Students will gain an understanding of nutrient use and nutrition strategies to improve exercise performance and overall health. Course topics include macro and micronutrients as well hydration requirements for health and performance.
